EUDR Services for Cocoa

Our EUDR Compliance Services for Cocoa

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) represents a fundamental shift in how cocoa is sourced, traded, and placed on the European market. From December 2024 onward, companies importing cocoa into the EU must demonstrate that their products are deforestation-free, legally produced, and fully traceable to the plot of land where the cocoa was grown. Our EUDR services are designed to help cocoa producers, cooperatives, traders, and exporters meet these requirements efficiently, transparently, and at scale.

We provide end-to-end EUDR compliance solutions tailored specifically to the cocoa sector. Our approach combines on-the-ground data collection, digital traceability, geolocation mapping, risk assessment, and regulatory documentation—ensuring that your cocoa can continue to access EU markets without disruption.

At the core of EUDR compliance is farm-level traceability. We support the collection and verification of polygon GPS coordinates for individual cocoa farms, ensuring accurate mapping in line with EU technical standards. Where farmers lack digital tools, we implement practical field-based solutions through trained enumerators and cooperative systems. All farm data is validated, securely stored, and structured for EUDR due diligence submissions.

We also conduct deforestation and legality risk assessments using satellite imagery, land-use analysis, and country-specific legal frameworks. This allows us to identify and document whether cocoa plots were established before the EUDR cut-off date and comply with national laws on land tenure, environmental protection, and labour. Our risk analysis aligns with EU guidance and supports both “negligible risk” and “risk-mitigation” pathways.

To simplify compliance, we prepare and manage EUDR Due Diligence Statements (DDS). This includes compiling geolocation data, supplier information, risk assessments, and supporting evidence into a structured, audit-ready format suitable for submission through the EU’s Information System. We work closely with exporters and EU buyers to ensure consistency between origin data and import documentation.

Beyond technical compliance, we help cocoa stakeholders build long-term EUDR readiness. This includes farmer training, cooperative capacity building, internal control systems (ICS), and digital traceability workflows that can scale as volumes grow. Our solutions are designed not only to meet regulatory requirements but also to strengthen transparency, credibility, and access to premium markets.

By partnering with us, cocoa suppliers and buyers reduce compliance risk, avoid shipment delays, and protect long-term market access. We turn EUDR from a barrier into a competitive advantage—helping you trade cocoa responsibly, legally, and with confidence in the European Union.
